Antique 1900's Hardwood 4 Legged Shoe Shine Box W/ Cast Iron Footrest G(star)R - Primitive Decor - Original-
This piece of small furniture could be used as a bench or footstool but it also has a hinged top that allows access to a flip up cast iron stand.
This old shoe shine box has a ton of character - The perfect amount of patina if you are looking for a rustic prop or piece of decor.
The 4 legged wood box that opens the front half with 2 hinges and pairs
with the cast iron footrest on top of the swing open top.
Old Shoe Shine Foot Rest Stand is Cast from iron with the iconic Five Point Western Style Star and letters G and R in the casting.
This is oblong in form and raised a bit from the heel hold, then completed with elongated, slightly splayed legs.
The paint is original black with old use wear and some light surface rust.
This shoeshine foot rest measures 7 1/4" long x 5" (front feet) wide and stands 3 1/4" tall at it's highest point.
This rustic piece of history is in very nice condition. It shows the wear that you would expect for a piece this old.
The hardwood is original, never painted, with no damage, inside of box has some wear as shown.
There are no contents / products included with the shoe shine box.
The box measures approx. 16.5" x 16.5" x 12.5" tall with legs and is 4" deep inside.
