Gibson, who died in 2013, was a master of design and “wearable vessels,” and pioneered use of original silk-screens with acrylic paint on polymer clay.
This tape includes all the information you need to create beautiful cuff bracelets. You’ll begin by learning the basic construction and architecture of a cuff bracelet using elastic cord and polymer tiles, then how to apply a variety of surface treatments, and how to assemble these elements into finished bracelets. By the end of the class, you will be prepared to invent endless variations of your own. Released in 2002. Running time 64 minutes.
Gwen Gibson demonstrates the construction of cuff bracelets through her method of using acrylic paints to apply rich surface design on unbaked polymer clay, incorporating original silk-screen stencils. It addition, she demonstrates use of texture plates and show how to make our own original designs etched into copper.
