    Description

This is a personal check (see picture) signed by world famous symphony conductor FREDERICK FENNELL. He was widely regarded as the leader of the wind ensemble movement in America. Mr. Fennell was Professor Emeritus at the University of Miami School of Music, and had served as principal guest conductor of the Interlochen Arts Academy and the Dallas Wind Symphony. He appeared with the Boston Pops Orchestra, the Carnegie Hall Pops Concerts, and the Boston Esplanade, as well as with the Denver, San Diego, National, Hartford, St. Louis, and London Symphonies. Mr. Fennell recorded 22 high-fidelity and stereo performances on Mercury Records albums, and also recorded for CBS-Sony, Nippon-Columbia, King, and Kosei labels. Frederick Fennell Hall was dedicated in Kofu, Japan on July 17, 1992 in his honor. Sadly, the music world lost one of its greatest conductors in December 2004, when Mr. Fennell passed away. This 1969 check bears the usual bank marks and folds, but the signature is bold.  It would make a nice addition to your own autograph collection, or it would make an inexpensive gift for that Frederick Fennell music fan in your life! Postage is .75. And, of course I'll combine postage on multiple purchases. Sorry, NO international shipping!  Be sure to check the other items in my eBay store, too!
