Dated October 17, 1932 issued from The National City Bank of New York, 72nd Street Branch in New York, N.Y. from the Account of George Gershwin with his 33 Riverside Drive Address at the Left Margin.
Accompanied by a 4 1/4" x 2" Autographed Note Signed from his brother Ira Gershwin with text in full:
"June 20, '64
Dear Mr. Schendel,
Herewith two of my brother's checks - so you now have two actual signatures of his.

CLAIM TO FAME:
George Gershwin's contribution to the blend of classical, jazz, and popular music in the American songbook may know no equal. Almost everybody knows the opening of Rhapsody in Blue, even if they can't name the composition.
His brother Ira provided lyrics for timeless classics as I've Got Rhythm

As for Ira's note, it's not third party authenticated. I've never submitted it, but I stand by it's authenticity guaranteed. It displays a paper clip indentation on the upper left congruent to the one on the encapsulated check.
As mandated by AB 1570, I'm required to have a separate letter of authenticity accompany any sports & entertainment autographs purchased.
CONDITION:
Check shows punch cancellation with a minor star tear above the Pay to the Order of Line. Usual stampings present with handling wear present at corners as well as borders and paper clip indentation at top left near check number.
Slight surface scratching and toning throughout, minimal wear to corners and borders, save any previous description. Acrylic may have scuffs and scratches, but doesn't affect item. Glare on item from scans, not on item. Please examine images closely.
