    One page autographed letter signed, Prague, May 21, 1965 by the important Czech Bandmaster and composer. untranslated.
    Jindřich Praveček the younger (1909 -
    2000) Important Czech Bandmaster and Composer
    Graduate of the Music School in Pardubice in 1928 where he studied violin with Stanislav Ondříček. His father of the same name taught his son piano as well.  In 1929 he entered military service and in 1931 he was appointed bandmaster of the Military Music School in Prague and in 1950 he was appointed the bandmaster of the Central Music of the Czechoslovak Army; from 1948 to 1951 he taught instrumentation for wind instruments at JAMU.
    He composed a number of marches, compositions for wind orchestras, arrangements of national songs for soloist, choir and orchestra. He also wrote about 150 songs. Pravecek He was also active in publishing and was also a frequent member of competition commissions.
