    You are bidding on typed, signed letter of JOHN ERSKINE (1879-1951) dated September 22. 1926, American educator, author, pianist and composer.
    He was English professor at Columbia University and after years of teaching decided to study with Ernest Hutcheson from 1928-1937. Erskine became the first president of the Juilliard School of Music.
    Also included is his biography, MY LIFE IN MUSIC, (William Morrow Publ. 1950); 283 pages. 3 pages of performances with index. Book in excellent condition; dust jacket with a few "bites."
