    Description

    Pietro Mascagni
    Italian opera composer (1863-1945), mostly remembered today for Cavalleria Rusticana and L`Amico Fritz among other creations.
    Beautiful photograph (probably a photo of a painting) signed by him with a short sentiment in Italian ("in remembrance of Iris in Genoa of your magnificent interpretation"), inscribed to soprano Gilda Dallarizza, dated in 1916.  Size is 6.8 x 9.1 inches, mounted on a cardboard trimmed from a larger format, minor silvering on edges, in very good condition.
    Note: the "Tamino Autographs" watermark is not present in the actual photo.
