Hand signed Michel Legrand Autographed Envelope. On the back in pencil it reads "Michel Legrand"
This piece is being sold as an authentic vintage hand signed autograph. If you buy it and for any reason want to return it I will accept it back with a refund. There is no COA with any of these pieces from the collection of Rex Beasley. Rex Beasley was an autograph collector and dealer back in the 1970's and 80's here in Dallas Texas. His store the Quill and Pen was in business in Dallas for decades before he retired. A storage locker was purchased here in Dallas and it had a trunk full of his autograph collection. Most of those pieces went to auction, but I was able to buy a box of loose papers from that locker. Among the pieces were a number of autographed envelopes. This is one of those pieces. Also in the box was a number of letters sent to or from Rex. Most dealing with research into a book on Gunsmoke and Dodge City, that Rex was working on. Mr. Beasley
authored
several books, including one on Edison. I'm including one of these pieces to help support the
provenance, as evidence that his was a part of Mr. Beasley's collection. I have searched each piece and unlike all others I did not find an examples that bare strong similarity to the piece I'm offering. There are a few elements that suggest it is his signature, but it seems to have been signed very quickly. I suspect that many of these piece were personal collected by Mr. Beasley from events that he attended. A number of them have the name of the signer written in pencil on the back. I'm guessing that was done by Mr. Beasley at the time of signing ? This is how I identified the signature. If this was not part of this larger group I would have questioned the attribution. Please ask questions before bidding.
