This listing is for a hard to find VHS Tape of Recreating Turquoise & Lapis With Fimo With Tory Hughes from the Mastering The New Clay: A Live Workshop Series.  This product was produced by Gameplan/ ArtRanch.
Hughes, who died in 2018, was a master of what she called “imitative techniques,” using polymer clay to duplicate lighter, less expensive versions of semi-precious stones.
This tape includes all the information you will need to create beautiful jewelry and objects which simulate the colors and textures of turquoise and lapis lazuli. You will learn how to imitate two kinds of turquoise beads: a Southwestern turquoise nugget and a Chinese turquoise disc. Then you’ll learn to make a shimmering, flat lapis lazuli pendant. Released in 1994. Running time 90 minutes.
