    Autographed 6" x 8.5" 2 bar double staved musical quotation of Smetana's famed opening of his Vsyehrad from "Ma Vlast" with a tipped on photograph.
    Klicka, Vaclav (1882-1953) Czech virtuoso harpist
    The son of legendary Czech organist Josef Klicka, he attended the Prague Conservatory where he studied harp with Hanus Trnecek and theory and composition with Karel Knittl and Karel Stecker.  He played in the Pilsen theater orch from 1903-1910, also making tours of Europe as a soloist with orchestra and as a recitalist. From 1922 until the German occupation he was professor of harp at the Prague Cons. At the conclusion of World War II he resumed teaching and performing. He composed a significant amount of harp music and arranged music for the harp.
