    Description

Vintage all original 1920's 1927 rare and hard to find autographed signed Ernest Hutcheson Golden Age Of Opera operatic music enlarged copied photograph. This photograph was used in "The Baton, November And December, 1931" issue as pictured. The Baton magazine is not included in the auction. The photo is from the estate of Dorothy Crowthers who was the Editor-In-Chief Of The Baton magazine of The Institute Of Musical Art Of The Juilliard School Of Music from 1922 to 1932. The photo is signed "Mr. Ernest Hutcheson In Affection And Esteem January 21, 1927". Hutcheson was an Australian pianist, composer and teacher. The large glossy photo copy measures 14" by 10 3/4". The photo has a line of music at the top left - "Allegro Marcato, Bach". The photograph shows John Erskine, Ernest Urchs And Olin Downes. I am not sure which one of these gentlemen wrote the note to Hutcheson but I believe Erskine did. The photo copy shows storage wear with tears on the edges as pictured.
