Vintage all original 1950's rare and hard to find authentically autographed signed inscribed Astrid Varnay Golden Age Of Opera operatic music photograph. The photo is from the estate of Dorothy Crowthers who was the Editor-In-Chief Of The Baton magazine of The Institute Of Musical Art Of The Juilliard School Of Music from 1922 to 1932. Varnay was a Swedish born American operatic dramatic soprano. The photo is signed in black ink "To Dorothy Crowthers, Who Truly Appreciates Beautiful Music, In Friendship, Astrid Varnay, 1953". The glossy black and white photo measures 10" by 8". The photo and autograph are in excellent condition as pictured. I have more photos on auction now and I will be listing many other photos from the estate some signed and some unsigned in the near future.
